Daily Prayers

Here is a link to the daily prayer that we use in school. This week, we are reminded about how we can change during Lent.

Mass

Here is the link to mass with Father Kelly at 10.00am today.

English

Watch the video on the link below and complete the activities.

On the main Year 3 page (before you click on 'Home learning') there are some spelling activities.

Don't forget the links to reading books and your daily Purple Mash reading activity.

The link below will take you to a website called 'Once upon a picture' which has some lovely pictures that you can discuss with somebody at home, describe in writing, or write a story about.  Have a go!

Maths

There is no video today. Have a go at the test here and see what you can complete on your own.  Don't worry if you find this tricky, just try your best and I will be able to see if we need to revisit anything when we are back in school soon.

RE

The RE PowerPoint is below. Read carefully and complete the task.

World Book Day Activities

It's World Book Day!

The most important activity that you should do today is... read something that you enjoy! Here are some ideas for you, including a BBC Live Lesson at 11:30.

Click the link below to hear Christian Robinson read his own book - 'You Matter'.  He also shares how he illustrates his own books and invites you to join in with him and have a go too!

Do you remember when we did all the actions with Michael Rosen when we thought about journey stories?  Watch the video and join in again.

Watch and listen to 'The Day the Crayons Quit'.  Could you write a reply to the crayons from Duncan? Can you think of another everyday object that might have had enough and decide to quit?  What could their letter say?

If you haven't read any of these before, the series of Penny Dreadful books are great fun and this extract from the book is read by its author.  Have a listen.

Don't forget to log into Purple Mash and complete your daily reading challenge online. Remember that you can use TTRS to practise your times tables.  If you have problems logging on, please email me on Year3@SFXCPS.co.uk and I can help you.

Well done for all your hard work, Year 3.

Keep trying your best!
