T: To practice the alternative spellings for /zh/, /w/ and /f/

Try playing some phonics games. Search through the games to find the sounds which you need to practice.

Support – Focus on one or two alternative spellings.

Challenge – Can you make a list words of the words you have learnt this week with the alternative spellings sounds.  Don’t look, challenge yourself to see how many you can remember?

Look back at your phonic sheets, did you write them correctly?

T: To give personal opinions about what is read.

Watch the video and complete the activities within.

Challenge – Elly is a sensible character.  I agree/disagree with this statement. Can you use conjunctions (because, but, or, when, if, that) to give reasons why you agree/disagree.

First, have a go at completing the Flashback activity.

T: Make patterns with 2D shapes.

Watch and complete the activities within the video before completing the questions on the worksheet.

Challenge – Complete all the reasoning questions and then have a go at the 'True or False' (T or F) question to make you think! 

T: To explore problems within the story.

Stick Man had lots of different problems to solve as he tried to find his way home. Can you remember them all? Describe each of his problems in the box next to the correct picture.

Support - Discuss each of the problems with an adult. 

Challenge –Write about the dangers he could have faced with each problems e.g. the dog

'Catch-up time' to complete any work you have not been able to do or finish from this week. 

Or to enjoy some free choice activity time!
