Friday Forum - Pupil Voice at St Francis Xavier
At St Francis Xavier we highly value what our pupils say and think about our school.
Every fortnight classes in the school hold a Friday Forum in their own classrooms on a given topic, such as Learning or Safety. Pupils talk about what they like or think works well, and what they would like to change or improve.
Two representatives from each class then feed back their class's views and suggestions to the whole school. These views and ideas are then discussed at staff meetings.
The whole-school Friday Forum assembly is planned, written and presented by pupils in Year 6. They decide on an agenda and running order for the assembly, and then organise and co-ordinate the feedback from each class, as well as presenting merit awards, lunchtime and house point winners of the week, and news items.
All pupils are fully encouraged to participate and make their voice and opinions heard at St Francis Xavier.
If you would like to know what the Friday Forum timetable is for this term, either see our display outside Years 5 and 6, the timetable in your classrooms, or check out the Friday Forum section of your Learning Gateway.
