Foundation Unit

Welcome to our wonderful new foundation stage unit, whic opened in January 2009. It is home to a 30 place reception class and a 52 place nursery.

In the nursery we have 26 morning places and 26 afternoon places. We admit children into the nursery after their third birthday, if there are places.

The session times for nursery are as follows:

• Mornings: 9.00 to 11.30am
• Afternoons: 12.30 to 3:00pm

Activities are planned in the unit following the Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS). This covers learning areas of language and literacy development, mathematical development, physical development, creative development, knowledge and understanding of the world and personal, social and emotional development.

Our Foundation Stage playground has a tarmac area, grassed area and a softer ground area where various pieces of climbing equipment are erected.
