Special Events - Y3 Guitar Assembly and Rock Concert

For the past year, Year 3 has been learning the guitar in school. They have had had weekly lessons and tuition from Mr Cockshot. At the end of the year every child performed to the whole school and parents in the school hall. Tunes included Cockles and Mussels and Star Wars.

Pupils in Year 3 will continue to learn the guitar every year.

In October 2007 Sandwell music teachers got together and formed a rock band to help teach pupils about rhythm and other musical conventions. They performed to a delighted crowd in the school hall with children taking it in turns to lead the singing on the microphone.

At the end of the concert Mr Brennan joined the band, playing the guitar and singing.
