Special Events - Fair Trade Project
In November 2006 Year 6 carried out a project on fair trade.
They chose a range of fair trade goods
from the Sahaj organisation in Dahod that our Indian visitors brought over in October. Year 6 proceeded to
price
up
the items for sale on an Excel worksheet, carefully considering profit and loss. They also made posters and
short sketches to advertise the products to the rest of the school.
The project was a great success raising over £300 and was thoroughly enjoyed by Year 6.

The fair trade products were sold by Mrs Hawkins and Year 6 pupils at the school's Christmas Fair to
parents, pupils and parishioners. All profits made are being donated to the Muvalia School in India (a school
totally dependent on donations to stay open).
